Our little fish- Eli's first swim

When we were in Kentucky we stayed in a hotel with a pool. We were very excited to take Eli for his first swim because he loves water! Well, he loves water when he's taking a bath anyway:) Eli enjoyed splashing in the water. The coldness of the water inhibited him a little, so we can't wait until this summer when the water will be a little warmer... hopefully:) His swim trunks were a little big because they are 6 mo. swim trunks on his little 2 month old body. We didn't think it would be necessary to buy him new swim trunks for this occasion.

All ready to go!

Are you sure about this mom?

I'm not to sure about this swimming thing, but I think I like it...

Kick Kick Kick

One day when Eli was 2 months old, I put him under his tummy time mat. He stared at the ball, and then I couldn't believe it! He actually kicked the ball! He intentionally kicked the ball:) Here's a sneak peek... He's not as interested in his ball anymore because one of his other toys has a mirror on it. Mirrors are definitely one of Eli's favorite things right now...

SMILES ALL AROUND

ELIAS FINALLY SMILED IN RESPONSE TO US!! Oh how his sweet little face melts our hearts. He really started smiling at us when he was 6 weeks old, but I could never get a picture of it. Even the one I posted isn't his true smile. He smiles the most after his 8am feeding and when he's on his changing table. (He loves getting his clothes off:) He also smiles and coos when you say "Who's a big boy?" in a sing song voice. It's great to hear Cody say this. I should capture it on video. We truly are blessed with this good and perfect gift from our Heavenly Father!

There's his smile:)

Are you sure it's almost time for bed?

Punk Rock Eli! (a mini mohawk)

Our little boy held his bottle for a little bit!

Sunny Stroller Ride

Today I decided to make the most of my last day with Eli. I bundled him up in three blankets and his adorable hat his Aunt Becky knitted him. Elias has been in his stroller a few times to walk the halls of the high school for exercise and to go shopping, but this is the first time he rode in his stroller without his infant seat. He seemed to enjoy our short journey to the post office. He seemed very alert when we began, as he turned his head to watch cars and trucks. However he fell asleep after we stopped at the post office. It was fun to get out, get some exercise, and enjoy the sunshine!

Topher joined us for the first part of our journey.

This is the first time his face hasn't been completely covered when we went outside. He didn't seem to mind the cool air:)
