Showers of Blessings At Church:)

The Monday before Eli was born, the ladies at church threw me a baby shower. Cody came with me because he had just gotten out of class and we hadn't seen each other all day. It was a special treat to have him there with me:) The evening was very relaxing and informal. We started off by everyone giving me a piece of baby advice. The resounding theme seemed to be: enjoy rocking and cuddling Eli because they grow up way too fast. I'm finding that to be true, and the little guy is only 1 1/2 months old! After that we had cake and punch. Then we opened gifts. I'm truly blessed to be surrounded by such a godly group of women who are such great examples of christian moms!

This amazing cake was designed by Leah Walker, a youth at our church. She made everything from scratch! Including the fondant icing. The white blanket is made from fondant, and the blocks and baby decals on the sides are made from sugar. Isn't she one talented woman?!?
