We wanted to take Eli to get an ice cream cone for his first birthday. (We got this idea from Cody's brother and sister-in-law. They took our niece, Hannah, to get her first cone for her birthday.) Unfortunately, Eli had the stomach flu the week of his birthday, so we were able to go a couple of weeks later. Eli thoroughly enjoyed his first cone. We sat in the kids play place area. He would hold his cone stationary, but when a little kid would scream, he would turn his head to look and totally smear his ice cream from his mouth to his ear!:) What a fun experience.
