Last week, we spent Wednesday through Saturday, at a campground in Butler, Ohio. We stayed at the same campground as last year and it was another great camping experience! The weather was perfect, with chilly mornings and warm (but not hot) afternoons.
I had teacher workday and a 24 week doctor visit (for Baby Brutus) on Wednesday, but we headed out right after that. This year my dad, my sister, and our family all were able to ride together which was fun. Eli really enjoyed the DVD player in my parent's car too.
We arrived to the campsite just in time to set up camp and eat dinner. We finished the night by relaxing. Thursday and Friday morning we woke up to some nice crisp weather. Eli played on the playground most of the days and really enjoyed seeing the goats at the playground. Dad and Cody fished some too. Mel and I enjoyed spending time together and we all went on a hike. Friday afternoon my Mom came up to the camp ground to hang out. Dad, Cody, Mel, and I were planning to go canoeing while Mom and Eli held down the fort, but the river wasn't open due to all the previous rain:( So we just ended up hanging out and Mom took Eli and Cricket ( My sister's dog) back home with her. It was nice to have a relaxing evening without worrying about a toddler falling into a campfire or running into a lake! Saturday morning we packed up camp and headed home. We stopped for brunch before making it home. Cody and I were able to unpack and rest a little while before we headed over to my parent's house to pick up Eli and enjoy dinner together.

Eli loved reading books while we were camping. His new favorite is Good Night Moon.

They didn't even mean to match!:)
|
I can't carry Eli all that long now that Baby Brutus is on the way, so Auntie Mel took a turn hiking with Eli.

A quick shot I took while Eli was playing "hoops" with Granddad.
